PHOTOGRAPHY
Black and white photographs taken with Nikon F5.
"From the time I was a little kid I always loved photos and was mesmerized by what they could capture. The range of emotion, moments frozen in time, and the artistic beauty than can be enveloped into one single shot compelled me to get a quality camera and start shooting. When I started taking photos, film was still a prominent way to shoot. I fell in love with the texture and contrast that embodies a quality black and white picture. Till this day I prefer to shoot with black and white film when I have the money to do so. When taking photos with my Nikon F5, I primarily shoot whatever I see on the street and if someone I know likes being in front of the camera I might take a few of them as well. In the near future I would love to take some portraits and develop scenes to be captured with black and white film. If anyone is interested in partaking in such an endeavor, feel free to email me (amaze88ishere@gmail.com) and we can make some wonderful pieces of work together." AMAZE 88

Photos Taken with Iphone

"Acquiring an Iphone 4s was a step into a realm of constantly using my phone to do various useless things like play games and play more games and trying to beat games and using the internet for hilarious videos on youtube. A good friend of mine told me that I should get on the Instagram hype. I asked her what it was about and she said something like "It's facebook but with pictures." So I decided to check it out, as I said before I love taking photos and Macintosh has been bragging about their camera, so why not? I got so into it that I downloaded a bunch of other apps that help you out with on the go photo editing and since then I've been popping off photos every time I go outside and see something even remotely interesting. Now there is the argument that this isn't real photography because it's on your phone and to even consider being a photographer you have to have some sort of other aspect to your work. Having this argument be substantiated by numerous people, people have started to call photos taken on a phone "phoneography." I think as long as you can render what you want, who cares. Photos taken with pinhole cameras are considered real photos and Polaroid photos as well, why not these? Anyways, enjoy." AMAZE 88

Polaroids

I've always like the idea of polaroids, the instantaneous material object that is your photo and the unknowing if it actually came out ok. With the impossible project, the film is even more sensitive and they eventually fade out, which sadly these photos will end up like that. So I bought a new scanner and scanned the ones the I particularly liked out of the many that I shot. I wish polaroid would still make the film or at least let impossible create a film that is long lasting like a polaroid. Maybe one day. But until then I'll keep shooting and capturing the things that capture my attention. |
Photos Taken with Canon 7D
"I tend to use my Canon 7D for video purposes but as of recent I've really wanted to buckle down on getting some good portraits done for my portfolio. I've taken quite a few pictures with the Canon 7d but haven't really taken anything seriously till very recent. I hope in the near future the subjects with be broadened and there will be various aspects to what I capture with this particular camera. In the very near future when some more interview opportunities come my way I will be doing photo shoots with the interviewees which is very exciting and I really look forward to that." AMAZE 88 |
